FloresWide is run by me, an independent local guide who arranges tours across Flores. I keep data collection to a minimum: this website uses no tracking, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party marketing cookies. This page explains what little information is involved when you visit the site or contact me to book a tour.

1. Who I Am

FloresWide is my personal tour-guide service, based in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. For any privacy question you can reach me at marselino@floreswide.com, or through the WhatsApp and Telegram channels listed on the site.

2. Information I Collect

2.1 Information You Give Me

This site has no sign-up, no account, and no contact form. Bookings and enquiries happen through messaging apps (WhatsApp, Telegram) or email. When you contact me, I receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, the messaging handle or email you write from, and the travel details needed to plan your tour (dates, group size, preferences).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Like any website, mine is served by web servers that keep short technical logs. These logs may include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. I do not use this data to profile or track you across sites; it exists for security and to keep the site running.

3. Cookies

The site uses a single, strictly necessary cookie that stores your site settings (such as dismissing the cookie notice). It is an HTTP-only functional cookie set by me.

  • No analytics or statistics cookies.
  • No advertising or marketing cookies.
  • No third-party or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No fingerprinting or behavioural profiling.

4. Hosting and Where Data Is Processed

The website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As part of operating its infrastructure, AWS may automatically record technical request logs, including IP addresses, on my behalf as a data processor. I do not combine these server logs with any other information about you.

5. How I Use Information

  • To reply to your messages and arrange the tour you ask about.
  • To keep the website secure and operating correctly.
  • To meet legal or tax obligations connected to a booking.

I never sell your personal data, and I do not use it for automated advertising or profiling.

6. Sharing

I only share information where it is necessary to provide the service:

  • Messaging and email providers you choose to contact me through handle your messages under their own privacy terms.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) processes technical logs as my hosting provider.
  • Where a tour requires it, the minimum details needed for bookings (for example accommodation or park entry).

7. Data Retention

Booking correspondence is kept only as long as needed to plan and deliver your trip and to meet any legal or tax requirements, after which it is deleted. Server logs are short-lived and rotated by the hosting provider.

8. Your Rights

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal details you have shared with me. To do so, contact marselino@floreswide.com and I will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Changes and Contact
